Design and Art for Energy Transition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a time of &#8220;polycrisis&#8221; (Tooze, 2021) such as the one we are currently experiencing, energy sustainability is considered a primary emergency, and one that even institutional actors are addressing, with culpable delays and with policies that often remain too extemporaneous; in this scenario, design and art represent strategic levers of action and innovation, to stimulate paradigm changes, to experiment new technologies and new conceptual-operational models and, in short, to explore more sustainable scenarios for the future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this vision, design disciplines intervene in the &#8216;hard&#8217; components of the energy transition and its &#8216;soft&#8217; and more relational and qualitative aspects. Such a dimension is &#8216;close&#8217; to individuals and calls upon their personal responsibility without devolving solutions solely to institutions, companies, and international bodies. The ecological issue (Sacchetti 2023), the Anthropocene (Rahm 2023) and animal exploitation (Caffo 2017) force us to redefine the meaning of \u201cdwelling\u201d in its deepest origins. The\u00a0pervasiveness of new technologies in the domestic space, and more generally in interior places, has changed the use of these spaces (Colomina 2006). From the first breakthroughs of television screens, and computers, interiors are now under constant assault by the presence of social networks, video games, and artificial intelligence, which redefine its fields of
