The aim of my project is to discover the fusion between the organic and the industrial. As I was learning the industrial process of plastic rotational molding I discovered the potential for combining raw organic elements in the process.\u00a0I tried creating a process where the meeting point between the organic and the synthetic is made by the rotational molding process without the need for cold joints or complex adjustments. The manufacturing process uses pruned branches, trunks and foliage combined with plastic which creates the joints. From the manufacturing process a new esthetic language is created out of basic shapes and raw material.\u00a0I designed a number of molds in basic geometric shapes in which it is possible to insert trimmed foliage of various kinds. I chose plants that reflect the landscape of my country – a mediterranean country: citrus, olive, pine and brushwood. Each time I used a different branch, bark or plant, which each influence the shape of the final object and create a unique and personal object. The organic elements fulfill a different role in each object; filling, upholstery and construction. The polyethylene and the raw organic elements are inserted to the metal mold, which is then heated and cooled while rotating. The plastic forms along the inner side of the mold and firmly fastens together the organic elements, especially while cooling and shrinking.\u00a0The result is a series of table and stools. Lo scopo del mio progetto \u00e8 scoprire la fusione, le interelazioni tra organico e industriale. Ho appreso il processo industriale dello stampaggio rotazionale delle materie plastiche e ho scoperto le potenzialit\u00e0 di questo processo che permette di inserire nello stampo elementi organici. Ho sperimentato cos\u00ec un processo che permette di integrare con facilit\u00e0 l\u2019organico e il sintetico. Il processo di produzione ingloba nella plastica rami secchi, tronchi di arbusti e fogliame. Dal processo produttivo nasce un nuovo linguaggio estetico caratterizzato dalle forme base degli stampi e dai materiali grezzi inseriti. Ho disegnato degli stampi con una forma geometrica semplice in cui \u00e8 possibbile inserire i vari elementi naturali. Ho scelto le piante del paesaggio dei paesi mediterranei: cedro, olivo, pino e piante del sottobosco. Ogni volta ho usato un ramo, un pezzo di corteccia o altro influenzando il risultato finale che genera un oggetto unico e personale. Gli elementi organici assumono un ruolo differente in ogni oggetto: tompagnamento, rivestimento o struttura. Il polietilene e gli elementi organici grezzi sono inseriti nello stampo, che viene riscaldato mentre ruota. La plastica si dispone sulla superficie interna dello stampo e si fissa saldamente agli elementi organici, in particolare durante il raffreddamento e il ritiro. Il risultato \u00e8 una collezione di tavoli e sgabelli.
