The winning and mentioned projects in the various categories are commented by texts written by the authors themselves.<br \/>\nThe exhibition of projects and the related conference was organized in 2009 in Istanbul for the first prize edition; this year it was held in Barcelona thanks to the efforts of Anna Calvera, historian and theorist of design as well as jury member of the contest, and Marinella Ferrara, researcher of Politecnico di Milano and coordinator of the Mediterranean Design Contest.<br \/>\nI found interesting that one of Anna Calvera&#8217;s articles opens this issue of PAD. With her, Tevfik Balc\u0131o\u011flu, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design in Izmir, Turkey, and also a member of the jury, and Marinella Ferrara, in Barcelona, we have discussed and agreed to submit the results of the third contest, which will be promoted in a few months, in Izmir.<br \/>\nI only add that PAD was inserted in the selection of Design Index that the Permanent Observatory of ADI, Industrial Design Association forms annualy, reporting the best product and design researches. This acknowledgment and appreciation received in recent years, lead us to believe that the time is ripe to rethink and re-launch PAD not only as a magazine but as a shared platform. And we are working on this project.<!--:--><!--:it-->Questo numero di PAD\u00a0\u00a0presenta i\u00a0risultati della seconda edizione del \u00a0concorso Design Mediterraneo-Mediterranean Design.\u00a0\u00a0I progetti\u00a0vincitori e menzionati nelle varie categorie sono accompagnati\u00a0 da testi scritti dagli stessi autori.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La mostra dei progetti e il relativo convegno furono organizzati nel 2009 per la prima edizione del concorso a Istanbul; quest&#8217;anno si sono tenuti a Barcellona grazie all&#8217;impegno di Anna Calvera, storica e teorica del design e membro della giuria, e di Marinella Ferrara, ricercatore del Politecnico di Milano e coordinatore del Concorso Mediterranean Design 2.<\/li>\n<li>Ho ritenuto interessante che uno scritto di Anna Calvera apra questo numero di PAD. Con lei, con Tevfik Balc\u0131o\u011flu, preside della Facolt\u00e0 di Design e Belle Arti di Izmir in Turchia e anch\u2019egli membro della giuria, e con Marinella Ferrara, proprio a Barcellona abbiamo discusso e concordato di presentare i risultati del terzo concorso, che sar\u00e0 promosso tra qualche mese, a Izmir.<\/li>\n<li>Aggiungo solo che PAD \u00e8 stato\u00a0 inserito su Design Index nella selezione che l\u2019Osservatorio permanente dell&#8217;ADI, Associazione per il Disegno Industriale, opera annualmente per segnalare il meglio dei prodotti e delle ricerche di design. Questo riconoscimento, e gli apprezzamenti ricevuti in questi anni di attivit\u00e0, ci spingono a ritenere che siano maturi i tempi per ripensare e rilanciare PAD non pi\u00f9 solo come un magazine ma come una piattaforma condivisa.
